Client Praise for Ebeneezer

January 2012
Ebenezer was an excellent guide for us. He could spot more birds while driving than I could using binocs standing still. He avoided crowd scenes and was respectful of the animals. We don't bring cameras any more, although Paul did take some cellphone snaps, and he had to adapt to that, which he did after a day or two. His knowledge of his country seemed deep and accurate. I suspect he can adapt to whatever the personality of his clients, but his calm and quiet style was very comfortable for us.

We had a great trip. Ebenezer is a fantastic guide.

November 2011
We booked a 7 days private safari with Duma, so the guide was our most important part of the trip as we spent a whole week with him. Ebeneezer is so knowledgeable about so many subjects and was willing to talk politics, culture and economics on our road journeys and knows everything about wildlife! So friendly, funny and accommodating even for our sunrise 5.30am starts. He is such an experienced driver, even pulled the Bushtop camp's staff from the mud with his Landcruiser. He was very flexible and made all our wishes to come true including a lunchtime stop at a sister lodge! It was so hard to say goodbye! Loved our safari with DUMA! Hope to do it again! Thank you Ebeneezer, it was a holiday of a lifetime!

We saw everything we could: a cheetah chase, 30 lions, lioncubs, black rhinos, wildebeest crossings, 3 leopards, even bat eared foxes!

October 2011
Ebeneezer provided fantastic service, accommodated our every request from visiting a village school to the earliest start times, found every animal sighting we had hoped for and above all was a gentleman.

Our guide was Ebenezer, and he did a great job for us. From the moment he picked us up at KIA until he dropped us off again a week later, he was focused on making our trip a success. There is a certain amount of luck in game viewing (and we felt we had a lot), but one key is having a guide who puts you in the right place at the right time, and Ebenezer was excellent at this. This is because of his experience, patience and persistence. Plus he is very good at spotting wildlife - he spotted one leopard in a tree that I just could not see without binoculars. Ebenezer was pleasant to spend time with, and has a quiet sense of humor.

Ebenezer was awesome. He took great care of us and was very knowledgeable. He was a safe driver and very patient with us. Ines and I both really enjoyed him and look forward to meeting him again some day.

April 2011
We just got back. Ebeneezer was a great guide, would recommend him highly. We had our two kids, 11 and 9, who ask a lot of questions and can be trying at times (at least to us). He was very patient and had a great sense of humor. We felt safe, we saw tons of animals, more than we thought we would see.

April 2011
Best of all, we had the absolute pleasure of Ebenezeer as our tour guide. He was quite simply the most knowledgeable, personable and courteous person we could have imagined having accompany us on the holiday of our lifetime. Ebenezeer has a tremendous wealth of experience in East African wildlife and he enriched our holiday with his endless knowledge, thoughtful insights, tireless humour and a great respect for nature, throughout our 6 days on safari. We want to thank you for placing Ebenezeer as our tour guide and please do pass on our very best regards and wishes to him.

Finally, Ebeneezer was great for us. And so you know we tipped him very well and he was very appreciative. I had no idea that people made so little in Tanzania. I knew little, but not that little. He had fun too I think and we’ll stay in touch with him. I would like you to know for your website if you want a quote or something that he did an exceptional job for us, kept us feeling very safe, he was very knowledgable, funny, patient, etc..

Ebeneezer is a wonderful guide. He was very safe to travel with, easy to communicate with, and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed each day of our safari with him and will recommend him to our friends and family.

We especially enjoyed having Ebeneezer for our guide. He is so knowledgeable about the animals and best places for game viewing, and also so caring and personable.

Really, it was an amazing trip that I know I'll remember forever. Ebeneezer was a tremendous guide!

Ebeneezer's Picks

Favorite Park: Serengeti National Park because it is very large and there are many things to see. It is also home to the wildebeest migration.
Favorite Animal: Cheetah and leopard because they are difficult to find and tourists often don't understand the behavior of these two predators.
Favorite Bird: African Fish Eagle because it has a very unique hunting style. It is also believed that the eagle mates for life.
Favorite Tree: Baobab because it can grow very large and it is difficult to estimate the age. Some baobabs seen in Tanzania's northern parks are several hundred years old.

Interesting Safari Sighting

June 2009: Saw two adult male lions fighting for control of a group of four females. This occurred in the Lobo area of the Serengeti.

Ebeneezer enjoys working for Duma because everything is straightforward. The timetables are made clear well in advance and communication with the office is clear.

Ebeneezer lives in Arusha, is married and has one child who was born in 2008.
