Seven Day Lodge Safari: May, June, July Itinerary

Day One: Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha at 9am for Tarangire National Park. Famous for its large elephant population, this park is also home to beautiful scenery and diverse birdlife. Game drive from approximately 11:30am until 6pm. Overnight at Boundary Hill Lodge.

Tarangire's wildlife includes elephant, lion, giraffe, warthog, ostrich, impala and baboon.

Day Two: Tarangire National Park
Go on an early morning game drive at 6:30am. Return to the lodge at 11am for an afternoon break. Eat lunch at the lodge and proceed on a second game drive from 3pm until 6:30pm. Dinner and overnight at Boundary Hill Lodge.

Day Three: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
Leave the lodge at 9am for Serengeti National Park. Pass through Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way, pausing to view the Crater. Game drive for the rest of the day, reaching Serengeti Sopa Lodge at approximately 6pm.

Species commonly seen in the Serengeti include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 species of birds.

Day Four: Serengeti National Park
Move to the Western Serengeti on day four. View animals all day, eating a picnic lunch in the park. Reach Mbalageti at approximately 6pm. Enjoy beautiful views and luxurious surroundings at this hilltop tented camp.

Day Five: Serengeti National Park
Go on game drives in the Western Serengeti. Optional activities include a bush breakfast and walking safari. Dinner and overnight at Mbalageti.

Day Six: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, leave for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, going on a final game drive through the Serengeti. Add an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai Village along the way. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Day Seven: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Depart the lodge at 6:30am for a Crater game drive. The largest unbroken caldera in the world, Ngorongoro has an area of 260 kilometers and a depth of 610 meters. The crater provides a protected habitat for thousands of mammals and birds. At 2pm, leave the Crater to return to Arusha.

Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus, and cheetah.
