Late December through May Itinerary - Seven Day Lodge Safari

Day One: Lake Manyara National Park
Leave your Arusha hotel at 9am for Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive in Lake Manyara at approximately 11:30am and game drive for the rest of the day. Leave the park at 6pm for Kirurumu Tented Lodge. Drinks and dinner overlooking the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara.

Lake Manyara’s wildlife includes elephant, baboon, hippo, giraffe, and many antelope and bird species.

Day Two: Ngorongoro Crater
Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area after an early breakfast at Kirurumu. Game drive on the Crater floor for several hours before proceeding to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is perched on the Crater rim and you will arrive at the lodge in time to view the Crater sunset.

The Crater's resident wildlife includes lion, zebra, cheetah, wildebeest, hippo, elephant, and flamingo.

Day Three: Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Southern Serengeti
Leave Ngorongoro after breakfast for the Southern Serengeti. Game drive in the area until 6pm. Dinner and overnight at Ndutu Lodge. The wildebeest migration is usually located in the Southern Serengeti area from late December through May. (Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge along the way.)

Species commonly seen in the Serengeti include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 species of birds.

Day Four: Southern Serengeti
Spend a full day in the Southern Serengeti. Return to Ndutu Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day Five: Southern Serengeti
Spend another full day in the Southern Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Ndutu Lodge.

Day Six: Southern to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, leave for the Central Serengeti. Game drive around the Central Serengeti before proceeding to Serengeti Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

The Central Serengeti is famous for its large cat population. There are resident cheetah, lion and leopard in this area.

Day Seven: Central Serengeti to Arusha or Zanzibar
Go on an early morning game drive in the Central Serengeti. Return to the lodge to collect your belongings. Fly to Arusha or Zanzibar at 11am.
