Nine Day Lodge/Tented Camp : August-September Itinerary

Day One: Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha at 9am for Tarangire National Park. Famous for its large elephant population, this park is also home to beautiful scenery and diverse birdlife. Game drive from approximately 11:30am until 6pm. Overnight at Boundary Hill Lodge.

Tarangire's wildlife includes elephant, lion, giraffe, warthog, ostrich, impala and baboon.

Day Two: Tarangire National Park
Go on an early morning game drive at 6:30am. Return to the lodge at 11am for an afternoon break. Eat lunch at the lodge and proceed on a second game drive from 3pm until 6:30pm. Dinner and overnight at Boundary Hill Lodge.

Day Three: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Go on a final game drive through Tarangire National Park. Leave the park at approximately 12pm for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight Lemala Tented Camp on the Crater rim.

Day Four: Ngorongoro Crater
Depart at 6:30am for a full day Crater game drive. Return to Lemala Tented Camp after the game drive for dinner and overnight.

Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus, and cheetah.

Day Five: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park
After a late breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park. Game drive in Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park before reaching Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp at approximately 6pm.

Species commonly seen in the Serengeti include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 species of birds.

Day Six: Northern Serengeti National Park
Proceed to the Mara River after breakfast. Game drive along the way to the Northern Serengeti, reaching Lemala Camp at approximately 5:30pm. The game viewing along the Mara River is usually excellent from August until November.

Day Seven: Northern Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Lemala Camp.

Day Eight: Northern Serengeti National Park
Spend another full day in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Lemala Camp.

Day Nine: Northern Serengeti to Arusha or Zanzibar
Take the 10am flight from Kogatende Airstrip to Arusha or Zanzibar. Transfer to your beach hotel or a day room in Arusha.
