Kilimanjaro

On Kilimanjaro, we use several different routes including Rongai, Machame, Lemosho and Marangu. Climbers camp on the Rongai, Machame and Lemosho routes and stay in park huts while hiking via Marangu. Kilimanjaro treks vary in length from five to eight days with longer trips allowing for greater acclimatization and summit success. We also arrange Umbwe Route ascents but request that only climbers with prior hiking experience above 14,000 feet (4,267 meters) attempt this route.

A night at Crater Camp can be added to Machame, Lemosho and Umbwe itineraries. Crater Camp is the highest place to sleep on Kilimanjaro at 18,750 feet (5,715 meters). Crater Camp climbs incur additional charges.

Please note that the Lemosho Nine day via Crater Camp itinerary is the one we recommend if you want to summit via Crater Camp.
