Gibb's Farm

Near the town of Karatu, Gibb's Farm is an excellent base from which to explore Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Duma Explorer recommends a two to three night stay at Gibb's, with two days viewing wildlife and a half day exploring the farms and forests around Gibb's Farm. For those interested in traditional medicine, the African Living Spa features a chance to relax and unwind and experience the traditional massage and medicinal techniques of the Maasai.

Gibb's Farm features an eighty year old farmhouse and twenty luxurious en-suite cottages. Each cottage, nestled in its own secluded flower garden, has spacious interiors with panoramic windows, private verandah and wraparound fireplace. The outdoor rain shower is surrounded by a lush garden, while the indoor bathroom features a shower and large bathtub.

Gibb's Farm is home to extensive floral & medicinal gardens, a private forest reserve, and a large, 100% organic farm including 30 acres of coffee, 10 acres of herbs and vegetables and a dairy and pig farm. The food at Gibb's is delicious and every meal is a treat.
