Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

The Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is located in the heart of the Seronera Valley. It is well-positioned for game drives anytime of the year, and this lodge offers the best accommodations in the Central Serengeti. With sixty-six rooms, the Serena is a large lodge that can accommodate up to 150 guests at one time.

Given its prime location, it is full during most seasons. Facilities include a swimming pool, internet access, library, gift shop, massage, and large dining, barbecue and bar areas. Children of all ages are welcome at the lodge.

Rooms are individual dome-shaped bungalows constructed of stone and thatch, decorated with leopard prints and carved furniture. Rooms are connected to the main lodge area by lighted pathways. The Serena Lodge is very pretty at night as there are hundreds of small lights decorating the walkways and bungalows. There are also hundreds of frogs that add the sounds at night.

While Duma Explorer does not highly recommend any lodge in the Central Serengeti, the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is the best option in this area of the Serengeti. We recommend staying at the Serena if booking a balloon ride or if you are very interested in viewing carnivores as the Central Serengeti is home to many lions, cheetahs and leopards.
