1. Note from Stanley Nnko
Stanley Nnko has been with Duma Explorer since it was founded in 2001.
Before working for Duma, Stanley worked on privately arranged trips with
Hezron Mbise. He writes:
I see now that Duma Explorer is going up very well because Hezron is a good tour operator. He knows how to manage the staff so they are able to do a good job. Duma provides good equipment for the camping safari, and good food, so staff is able to make good food and both staff and clients are able to enjoy the safari. The clients are able to enjoy so that when the clients enjoy, they give staff a good thanks. The staff, because of safari, are able to better their lives because they like to make the trips with Duma and are able to make many trips because they are not tired from the lack of good equipment or food. So, I like to work with Duma and I welcome many clients to make safari with Duma Explorer and the staff, they are very good for sharing stories about Africa and teaching Swahili to the clients after dinner.
2. Report from Tanzania
Duma's president Hezron Mbise is currently in Europe. Hezron will be
traveling to Spain, Italy, Germany, France and the UK. If you would like

Stacy Readal visited the new Tanzania office in September. The summer of
2004 was Duma's busiest season yet, and Stacy and Hezron brought on
three additional guides including Isack Mungure (driver/guide), Entold
Mpunga (mountain guide) and Zawadi Maullan (mountain guide). Also, after
completing courses in English and wildlife biology, Jonathan Mbise has
been promoted from cook and part-time guide to full-time driver/guide.
