Hey Duma staff!
We just returned today from our safari with you and Christopher and wanted to write a quick e-mail from Arusha to let you know how great it was. We went on safari with you because we had such a great experience climbing Kili with your company. And, safari was also amazing.
We really didn't know what to expect in terms of service, and we were blown away. For both Kili and safari all the staff managed to make everything beyond comfortable (I have to say that everyone else on the mountain was quite jealous of our camp table and chairs). Our guides also had us always appreciating the fact that we were on the most beautiful environment in Tanzania... Climbing Kilimanjaro was such a rewarding experience, and I think it made all the difference to have guides that we trusted and that were so much FUN! We spent six days going up the Machame route, and the pace was perfect for acclimatization. The summit day was a challenge for sure but our guides, Desario and Haruni, really helped us make it to the top.
On safari, having Hezron's eyes for spotting wildlife was invaluable. It worked out perfectly to go on safari after our climb up Kili so we could wind down a little and just relax. Although, getting so close to those elephants with their calves had our hearts beating!
Anyway, I want to keep this short, but thank you so much for making both our trek and our safari so unique and exciting. We will not soon forget the passed couple weeks.
