As two women traveling alone, I had a few reservations about our comfort and safety. Duma Safari took wonderful care of us. We had a four-door Defender to ourselves and we were able to go to see whatever interested us the most. We saw many large safari companies with larger vehicles but they also carried many more visitors. We enjoyed our privacy.
The animals and birds we encountered were unbelievable. We saw all of the big 5 but my favorite animals were the many species of birds. Emanuel was very knowledgeable about the animals and birds of the area and was able to impart his knowledge in a very entertaining manner.
We stayed one night at the Tarangire Tented Lodge and the other nights at several Serena Lodges. The Serena Lodges were wonderful but I especially liked the tented lodge. It was clean and comfortable and gave a more outdoors experience than the Serena Lodges did.
Duma helped me decide where to visit and tailored the safari just for us. Hezron and Emanuel were very accommodating and were a pleasure to deal with. Stacy was very prompt answering all my questions via email and helped me figure out exactly what to pack.
I highly recommend Duma Safari for your "once in a lifetime" safari to Tanzania!
