My daughter and I had a fantastic time on safari in Tanzania. Thank you for making all of the arrangements for us and tailoring the Safari to meet our needs. Everything, from the bus trip from Dar to Arusha, to the plane ride from Arusha to Dar went very smoothly. We were met at the bus stop in Arusah by Duma staff (Issac) and at the end of our safari, delivered to the airport by Duma staff (Isaac). Thank you for leaving nothing to chance and putting us in good hands.
Isaac, is a terrific guide and a wonderful person. We learned so much from him, not only about the beautiful parks and the magnificent animals, but about Tanzanian culture. He not only answered all of our questions, it seemed that at times, he even anticipated what we were going to ask him. We truly enjoyed not only his professionalism but his friendship. Our cook, Bean, was very good at his job. He provided us with delicious, hearty meals and nutritious boxed lunches.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the students and staff at the Shinda Basic School and were delighted to be able to take them some supplies and spend some time talking to Headmaster, Pasian Kamaro. Thank you for making those arrangements for us. I have some great pictures and wonderful memories of playing and singing "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes" with a wonderful group of children.
When I first explored Duma's website and learned about their commitment to "community" I got a good feeling about Duma Explorer and hoped that they would be able to provide me with the kind of Safari my daughter and I wanted that would be within our means. Duma did not disappoint. I contacted many, many other companies when planning this extraordinary adventure but none were as helpful, patient or as personable as Duma.
