Stacy, I would like to thank you for the most amazing trip that we had with your company. When searching for a company to deal with, you were the most helpful, and answered all of my questions with the professionalism that you continued to provide throughout the almost year of planning. Anytime that I heard of some problem that could occur and asked you for an explanation, you patiently answered my queries and reassured me that all would be fine - AND IT WAS.
The climb up the Machema trail was the most demanding, and perhaps the most satisfying experience that I have ever had. The whole ordeal was made so much easier because of our experienced guides, Samuel and Emanuel, as well as the talented and hard working porters. The food for the whole seven days was beyond expectations, and we didn't miss a meal. We were very pleased to have a dinning tent - I saw other groups eating out in the cold or in their tents - glad we didn't have that to worry about. The last night or should I say early morning was so hard but all the more rewarding. I know that none of the three of us would have made it if it weren't for the guide/porters. They never gave up on us, and encouraged us all of the way. Thank you again for suggesting that we take an extra day at Karanga camp to better acclimatize. And you were right again about the equipment that we used and rented - everything was in great shape - almost new.
The safari was also a wonderful experience- although not as demanding as Kilimanjaro it was wonderful in its own way. The variety of animals was fantastic and our guide was able to get so close to them - it was unreal. Again you provided us with a wonderful guide. He had so much personality and make us feel so comfortable - it was a pleasure. Jonathan made us feel special and went out of his way to make sure we were doing what we wanted, not what he thought we wanted. The balloon ride was something that I shall never forget and again I am thankful that you encouraged us to do this when I mentioned that a friend had done it.
Last but not least, we thank you for the suggestions that you made for our accommodations on Zanzibar. I know that you were going out on a limb a little since you had not stayed at these hotels, but they both were great. The Matemwe Beach resort was quiet and restful while the Chavda Hotel in downtown Stonetown was quaint and intriguing.
I was amazed that we could make the plans eight months ahead of the trip and have EVERYTHING run like clockwork. Thank you again for making our trip such an enjoyable and rewarding one.
