Duma Explorer did a great job with our three-day hike of Mt. Meru. The food was excellent, the price was reasonable, and the porters and guides were really helpful and knowledgeable. Duma gave us excellent service and we really enjoyed our climb. We had very little gear for hiking Kili, so Duma provided a quality tent (there were three of us), aluminum adjustable-length walking sticks, and most essentially had the foresight to bring extra down sleeping bags for us as ours were simply not warm enough. Hezron and Duma Explorer did a great job catering to my group's trip needs. I have heard many horror stories from friends and other tourists returning from safari in the Tanzanian Northern Circuit where their companies did not pay attention to their desired itineraries or personal needs. Hezron and a driver worked diligently to provide sightings of all the animals requested and accommodated my mid-trip, special request to visit Olduvai Gorge. Our campsites were excellent, the food delicious, the days full of good information and good humor. Hezron guided me on a walking tour of Mt Meru. My goals for the trip were to be responsible for myself physically (that is, to carry my own gear) and experience the surroundings with the minimum manipulation by Hezron and the required armed guard. I was given more than enough scope to tire myself out and experience this beautiful gem of a park. Thanks again Hezron and may you prosper.
