One Nature Nyaruswiga - Central Serengeti
If high-end luxury everything is your safari-going style, take a peek at the photogenic, five-star One Nature Nyaruswiga in the Central Serengeti. Honeymooners, actors, and other VIPs land here to be pampered with champagne, bubble baths, and massages after long days of viewing game on the plains of Tanzania.
Upon arrival, one guest reported the lodge to be “the most luxe and lovely tented camp we have seen,” and another said that the facilities and rooms are so beautiful they are “really out of a Ralph Lauren catalogue. You will want to photograph every inch of the property.”
The highlight of each room is a free-standing copper bathtub. Take a long soak in fragrant bubbles while gazing out over the wilderness.
The location of this lodge in Serengeti National Park is stunning.
One Nature Nyaruswiga is about a 30-minute drive from the Seronera Airstrip and offers forest views from the main lounge and bar, along with chic décor throughout the property. Guests can stay in a choice of 14 canvas safari tents, also referred to as “tentalows,” two of which are set up as two-bedroom family accommodations.
A recent patron described his “tentalow” as having a “royal feel about it, with a balcony that overlooked the magnificent savannah paradise. The perfect spot!”
Each room is outfitted in sleek wood flooring and furnishings, and includes a personal butler to help you settle in. Take in the views from your private veranda luxuriously set with Italian leather Campaign chairs, a mahogany table and day lounger. Come inside to enjoy the wood-burning stove and complimentary mini bar.
There’s also WiFi, solar power and in-room massage services, if you are so inclined.
Relax on the emperor-sized bed fixed up with fine European linens, a goose down duvet and pillows of varying firmness. The en-suite bathroom has both an indoor and outdoor shower complete with high-end Molton Brown toiletries.
Get outside to explore the grounds and you’ll find a gym, jacuzzi, infinity pool, and even a swim-up bar. There’s also an outdoor movie theater, chessboard and plenty of books to read.
If there weren’t animals strolling through the camp, you might forget you are on safari.
For further diversions, go for a game of horseshoe or bocce, and then spend your evening gazing at the stars from the lodge’s own astral observatory.
This is also a great place to bring the kids.
One Nature offers a program for children called ONEderers, which is meant to engage and educate the little ones through interactive activities like learning traditional Maasai skills and making colorful bead crafts. And sometimes staff will allow youth into the kitchen to experience cooking their own meals.
Reviewers on TripAdvisor raved about the lodge’s service, giving high praise to their butlers, staff managers and chefs. They also loved the cuisine, which is served indoors or outdoors at the dining tent to the calming tunes of jazz.
A guest described every meal as a “culinary delight” with a plethora of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and menus that changed daily.
“The service was impeccable, sophisticated yet incredibly warm, making us feel genuinely welcomed,” she wrote. “Staying at One Nature felt like stepping into a different era, where every detail evoked a sense of timeless elegance.”
